The provision of M&E consultancy services associated with the proposed re-ordering and extension of The Cloisters at All Saints Church, Clifton, Bristol.
The project briefly comprises:
Extension into the courtyard area to provide larger and more energy efficient exhibition space;
Upgrading of the thermal performance of the cloister building fabric including: Walls, Roof, Floors and Windows;
Small infill extension for accessible WC;
Heating project including new PV panels on roof and underfloor heating;
Access improvements into the East Garden.
Box Twenty were appointed to undertake the following:
A review of the Heating Options Study undertaken By Max Fordham in November 2021;
Strategic design advice to allow the submission of a planning application and Faculty for the cloister Project (RIBA Stage 2-3). The PVs and ASHPs for the cloister project are the major items;
Development of the detailed design / performance specification to obtain building regulation approval, and competitive tenders (RIBA stage 4);
Site work (RIBA Stage 5).
Box Twenty have worked with the client and architect to ensure that the new works can be tied into the existing church without impacting the visual look of the church.
