Box Twenty were involved in this extensive phased refurbishment of the Calne Leisure Centre for Wiltshire Council.

On behalf of the M&E Contractor, MJD, we undertook a review & validation of another consultants Stage 3 proposals, and developed these further.

Following extensive surveys we determined that the new services proposed would need to be re-designed and re-routed so that they could be accommodated within the tight and congested ceiling space available.

The first phase of the works consist of asbestos removal, a completely redesigned village style wet changing area, a modernised, refurbished, and extended Fitness Suite that will double the current floorspace, a refurbished reception area, dance studio and dry changing area and increased efficiency ratings through the use of modernised internal building fabrics which is also expected to result in a reduced maintenance requirement.

The second phase of the works involved the refurbishment of the sports hall where we designed and provided new modern heating and ventilation systems to serve these areas.
