The provision of Electrical Engineering consultancy services associated with the complete workshop expansion at Trade Centre Wednesbury.

The existing electrical supply to the site was sufficient for the proposed workshop expansion, and the current operation was at or beyond the capacity of the the existing supply.

Box Twenty were appointed to carry out the following activities:

• Desktop review of load monitoring data;

• Load assessment for the new site layout, including new workshop equipment;

• Reviewed issues which may be contributing to the existing high demand at the site;

• Apply to the local Distribution Network Operator for an upgraded supply, and liaise with their design engineer to determine the most cost effective solution to meet the site’s needs;

• Issued a report on our findings including any actions that could reduce the existing demand.

We also carried out detailed space planning for the new intake room required to accept the new supply and distribute this to the new and existing switchgear; and distribution & final circuit design for the new car body shop.

We liaised closely with the client and electrical contractor to ensure the project was completed to a tight programme.
