Box Twenty are the Client’s Technical Advisors for these start-up laboratories for local businesses in Bristol.

Designed around a “longitudinal corridor” that provides a visual connection & runs the length of the facility. This provides visitors with an initial “wow” factor and enables them to walk down the length of the facility and see into the workings of this building via an open public-realm space.

This means that the laboratory modules are visible but secure and creates central gathering spaces for visitors and tenants of the building who can use Café, reception & common break-out areas.

Positive pressure ventilation systems keep the labs under negative pressure to avoid contaminants entering the circulation spaces into more public areas.

Box Twenty are involved directly with the Client, in the second project this team has worked on, in creating start-up laboratories for local businesses to undertake their testing and experimentation.

Box Twenty are the Clients Technical Advisors and we are involved in reviewing Employers Requirements, Contractors Tenders, Technical submissions, final designs, installation works on site and final commissioning.

This will help to ensure that the design criteria set out within the ER’s are achieved through construction and that systems are commissioned and handed over to enable the building to be fully operational from day one.
