Water Lilies is a development of fully serviced plots. High performance shells. Large shared garden with water lilies pond. Community / co-working hub.
Water Lilies is the redevelopment of a former water reservoir into a self-build eco community project near Blaise Castle and Kings Weston Estate in Bristol.
The project consists of 33 dwellings including townhouses, flats and detached homes, with the water reservoir used as the central underground car park, bike and bin storage.
Adjacent to the central green space and pond, above the reservoir, is the Hub building to be used by self-builders during construction and as a flexible community space after completion.
Box Twenty created a fit out design for the apartments and designed a main intake location in each high performance dwelling shell for the incoming utilities, which could then be fitted out by the self-builder into a utility cupboard.
Box Twenty also designed the site wide utilities distribution, co-coordinating with CEPRO, the photovoltaics and energy storage provider.
The development won the Green Initiative Award at the Bristol Property Awards.
